2010: Good-bye to a Bad Start!

Good evening, world! Well, well, well, we're in the last days of 2010. And I say, GOOD RIDDANCE!! All this year did was pick up where the 2000's left off. One big pile of BULLCRAP!! We had earthquakes, oil spills, a bloated, mind-numbing election, a battered economy(still), celebrities acting like complete a**holes(still), termoil in Mexico, termoil in Afganistan, unspeakably crazy weather, reality TV reaching unspeakable low depths and oh yes, WE SAW THE TEA PARTY MOVEMENT BECOME A POLITICAL POWERHOUSE! What a year, eh?! But with every ying, there's a yang. Some positive stuff came out of 2010 as well. The Chile miners miracle. The New Orleans Saints winning the Super Bowl for their battered home town. The Senate repealed "Don't Ask, Don't Tell".(Well, it's positive for the gay community. I'm not so sure about the rest of the country.) Other than those few bright spots, the first year of the second decade of the 21st century was a big ol' mess!! Tell me, is this a way to start a new decade?! I thought it was leaving the previous decade and what was big in it behind and moving ahead to the new one and what's going to be big in that. Not reliving the same garbage from the previous decade OVER and OVER and OVER in the new one!! That's not moving ahead, that's freakin' GROUNDHOG DAY!! I only hope and pray that 2011 and the years after it won't be a disappointment as 2010 was. Then again, I shouldn't hold my breath. Long story short, 2010 was just an extension of the calamity that was the 2000's. And like the 2000's, it will not be missed!! So Bye-Bye, 2010! And don't let the door hit you on the a** on the way out!
Here's to 2011 and beyond!
Happy New Year!
